As a Principal Data Engineer at Amazon I:

• Managed a fleet of hundreds of Redshift clusters serving data across the entire company.

• Helped troubleshoot Redshift performance problems across the entire company.

• Built sustainability models covering both 1st and 3rd party fulfillment.

As a Data Engineer at Amazon I:

• Built out IMDb’s data warehouse from scratch; first on Oracle, then migrated it to Redshift. This included 100MM+ monthly users, robot detection, and designing KPIs to guide all aspects of the company and leadership questions.

As an Oracle DBA at Amazon I:

• Managed the Performance METrics, trouble-ticketing, and software deployment databases. Customers wouldn’t notice these but thousands of my co-workers depended on them every minute of every day.

• Designed and managed the control-plane database for the first generation of AWS offerings before they even had the names we know them by today: CloudWatch, Auto Scaling, Elastic Load Balancer, RDS, Redshift, ElastiCache, Simple Workflow and more.
